Grade 1 WRITING: Our favourite toy

Grade 1 EFL students have been working on their writing sample about their favourite toy. Following the writing process: Planning, writing, editing, and final drafting.

PLANNING

 A whole class discussion on brainstorming ideas about a topic was done.

 Then, they were asked to create their own about their favourite toy. They were provided with different prompts such as: what, when, where, shape, color, movement, sound, movement to tell something about their toy.

WRITING
After they have written all the ideas, they shared their plan and together with the teacher decided on how to arrange these ideas into a paragraph.

EDITING

 Edit for COPS (Capitalisation, Organization, Punctuation and Spelling) 

They were provided with a RUBRIC, as a guide when editing their piece of writing. 

FINAL DRAFTING

The EFL students wrote their final draft on a lined paper ready to be published.
