Grade 5/6 Speaking and Listening: Animal Riddles

Speaking with confidence is important when communicating. That is one of the many skills we would like to develop in our EAL/EFL class.

As part of our Listening and Speaking activity, Grade 5 and 6 students looked into riddles and how these can make people think. It can help improve their vocabulary and comprehension. Most of all, it is fun!

Their task is to read and deliver the riddle with confidence and with expression.

They practiced among each other and at the end chose one that they liked the most.

They also thought of ways on how they can be creative. Given a short period of time, they were even able to find props to use.

In the end,  they have been successful and said their riddles with confidence, clarity, expression and humour! What fun!
