EFL Assembly

All EFL Students from Preschool to Grade 6 at DSKI hosted a whole school assembly! 

Each grade level presented in different ways.

Here are some snap shots of the assembly.

Preschool EFL 

They presented their own version of 5 little monkeys. 

Five little monkeys climbing on a tree and broke different parts of their body (head, arm, leg, knee and chin). It was quite a treat watching them! 

 

Grade 1 EFL 

Grade 1 students, have been doing a lot of writing workshops in EFL class. They decided to present the story they wrote to everyone. Using picture prompts, they came up with their own unique ideas, wrote it, illustrated it, published and shared it to the whole school!

Grade 2 EFL 

Grade 2 students have been working on different word building activities in class. They applied these skills by writing short stories and short poems using rhyming words. They shared the poem they wrote about school. In the poem, they used different rhyming words to tell things that they like about school. 

 Grade 3/4 EFL 

Grade 3 have been learning about simile and metaphors in EFL class. They wrote Self-Portrait poem using simile and metaphors. They described and compared themselves to different animals, famous people and other things. In connection to their unit they also wrote a short script about safety during earthquake and acted it out. 

 

 

 Grade 5 and 6

EFL students prepared a whole puppet show production. They wrote the script, created their puppets and did the show for everyone to enjoy! They also shared their Spring Poem using different forms of poetry. 

EFL Students had fun during the assembly in school!
