Grade 5/6 EFL: Speakers and Listeners
Grade 5 and 6 EFL students focused on strengthening their communication and research skills.
They read different articles from Newsela and had small group discussions, to practice speaking and listening. In connection to their unit, they also read stories about people who migrated or some who have contributed to help the society.
This week, they read about Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, Mother Theresa, and Garett Morgan.
Important details to remember were highlighted. They realised that doing this made it easier for them to see the texts they needed to add for their presentation.
They were given an opportunity to share through oral and visual presentation.
